Conchcn’s Smart Medical Materials Facility Begins Production Amid Ongoing Construction

At the construction site of Conchcn’s Smart Medical Materials Project in Linyi, the pace of development and the energy of production are perfectly in sync. Inside the workshops, machines roar to life. Outside, construction teams race against time. Led by Mr. Quan Xianyong, General Manager of Conch Medical Products (Shandong) Co., Ltd., reporters witnessed a remarkable scene: on one side, fully operational machinery and coordinated staff driving production; on the other, a busy construction site where builders are working round the clock to complete the facility.

What sets this project apart is its dual-track progress: building and producing simultaneously. “Workshop No.1 has already been completed and equipped with two production lines that are now operational. The main structure of Workshop No.2 has also been completed, and supporting facilities are currently under construction,” shared Mr. Quan. Since breaking ground in May 2022, the project reached production readiness in just over eight months—a testament to the forward-thinking services provided by the Feixian Economic Development Zone, which accelerated the approval process for land use, environmental assessments, planning, and construction permits.

In only eight months, the facility has gone from blueprint to production—a speed that reflects what insiders call “the Conchcn pace.” Originally focused on import-export trade, Conchcn brought in existing customer orders while setting up its production lines. The faster operations began, the faster results could be delivered, allowing the company to scale rapidly. On-site observations revealed a dynamic dual-engine model: one part of the facility already producing at full capacity under international standards, and another part still under active construction. This “build while producing” model showcases Conchcn’s commitment to accelerating high-quality industrial development in Feixian.

“As of now, Workshop No.1 has been completed and two production lines have been installed—one already in trial production. Workshop No.2’s main structure is done, and support facilities are being added. Eight elevators have been purchased, with four already installed. Total investment has reached RMB 125 million. Once fully completed, the project is expected to generate RMB 1 billion in annual revenue, RMB 150 million in profit, and RMB 32 million in tax contributions—including RMB 16 million in local taxes—while creating over 360 new jobs,” said Mr. Quan.

This success wouldn’t be possible without the government’s proactive approach. While Conchcn focuses on production, local authorities have paved the way for smooth operations. “When the company began applying for construction permits, we assigned dedicated personnel to assist immediately,” said Mr. Wang Gang, Deputy Director of the Feixian Economic Development Zone Management Committee. “Even though the architectural blueprints were still under review, we implemented a flexible approval mechanism to fast-track permit processing.” This alone helped recover nearly a month of the construction timeline. Throughout the process, authorities worked hand-in-hand with the company to address challenges and accelerate subsequent approvals, all with the goal of ensuring that government support stays one step ahead of business needs.

“We firmly implemented the ‘two immediate responses’ framework set by the Feixian County Party Committee,” Mr. Wang added. “From land acquisition to final construction permits, we completed everything within five months—offering the company a crucial head start in capturing market opportunities.”

“As a comprehensive manufacturer specializing in personal and pet care hygiene products, Conchcn exports to markets in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, with an annual export volume of USD 100 million,” Mr. Quan said. “A flood of incoming orders has put enormous pressure on our production capacity. The ability to scale quickly is vital to capturing this wave of growth. And it is precisely the government’s high-quality, efficient services that have powered our rapid development.”

Upon recognizing Conchcn’s urgency in accelerating the project, Feixian Economic Development Zone responded without delay—immediately coordinating to resolve issues during the construction phase, refining project timelines, and optimizing construction schedules to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
